I added it about 3 weeks ago after another long trip that left my throttle hand numb. Bought the kit from Zanutti's (sp?) in Butler PA and had it sent, less than $300 shipped. I installed it myself because I have been less than impressed with the dealer work I have had done recently. Didn't take too long, but I crimped a wire when tightening the modules back on and had to fix it with elec tape.

Was it a Harley part? Do you know the part number?

Search the site...
while back I printed out a rather good thread on how to install it on a road king (didn't check to see what one you are riding). One day I will get around to trying to put it on just not sure how one sets/tunes it once all the pieces are in place though.

Good luck, on the long rides I think cruise control is great but wtf I got a bmw and a gl1800 wing so I sort of used to those features.

DS: If you don't have an HD Touring bike, check-out Cruisemount.com. Dave, the owner, makes wiring harnesses and mounting equipment for using HD cruise control units on HD non-Touring model bikes. He's a very nice guy and provides excellent customer service. Call him and see if he has something that will work for you.
