Sounds like the Master cylinder was to full. As you ride the caliper heats up and the fluid will expand as all things do. If you over fill the reservoir the fluid has nowhere to go so pushes out the piston thus causing the brakes to engage.
Your piston seals are now shot as evidenced by the black goo and deteriorated rubber. YOU CAN NOT MIX BRAKE FLUIDS. You should now rebuild the calipers and m/c, you may even have ruined the hose wall if you still have rubber hoses.
No mechanic worth his salt would ever mix fluids or advise someone else to do this. This is not directed at you but to those that think they are giving you proper solutions....Listening to uneducated opinions willl get you killed.
One can conceivably change from a dot 3 to a 4 or 5 fluid, but you have to replace all the rubber internal parts once they have came in contact with another fluid.
But there is nothing with the factory recommended fluid if done right.
