I know it's my hang up only but I prefer keeping all the accessories on my bike Harley accessories.
Well, if you're willing to pay the premium and know that you're not always getting the best quality, then go right ahead.
No kidding. I went to buy a bag for the Road king to take trips and I went to local dealer and they hade the exact same kinda bags I was looking for, one was HD and the other was Tour Master. HD: $259.00 Tour Master: $139.00. and the Tour Master came with a rain cover and Barrel bag.
Went to the dealer today - the pouch setup they carry won't work with my Street Glide because the windshield is too short. They said that the pouches are exposed slightly to the wind, so it is an issue.
Bummer, because those kinds of pouches would have been ideal for carrying glasses and the garage door opener.
Install the HD garage door opener that uses your high/low beam switch. Installed mine after I got the bike and it's one the best things I ever installed.

Good call on the garage door opener. The dealer suggested it - but I didn't jump on it immediately because of its price (something like $127?). I figured I'd wait to get input from others on it before investing.
Did you install it yourself? Easy or difficult to install?
I have the 3 pocket HD set on my 05 EGC. I've never ever had even a slight dampness inside them; been in heavy downpours............wash the bike regularly. Never any trouble. The velcro closures continue to work fine, been almost 3 years now. They are very handy for all sorts of small items (glasses, garage door openers, gum, tire guage, etc). The quality seems to be pretty decent......aftermarket versions are probably less expensive. Can't speak to the quality, but have other non HD stuff on the bike and the quality is fine, maybe better in some cases. I'm a short cuss, (5' 6") and never noticed a visibility issue...........I have noticed some vibration issues when you lose the little stick on bumpers that go on the bottom of the bag frame to isolate the mounting from the dash. Just get new bumpers......I'd recommend this set for sure.
