I'm a paramedic in Searcy, AR. Today, I was headed to our main station for a class on our new computer aided dispatch system. As I passed one of the softball fields, something caught my eye. There was a big Harley Davidson 18 wheeler with a bunch of police Road Kings parked by it and cones set up in the parking lot. Some of the local PD officers were out there. I didn't have time to stop then and was hoping they'd be there when I got out of class. Luckily, when I got out of class and went back by there, they were still there. I stopped to see what they were doing. I know all of the officers here from working with them on ambulance scenes. I found out that it's HD corporate motor officer training and they'll be here for 3 more weeks. One officer that I'm fairly good friends with introduced me to the instructors and told them I was a paramedic. In talking to them, they asked me if I had ridden one of the '17's yet. I told them I hadn't and they asked if I'd like to. Of course I jumped on that. I signed the waiver and myself and my buddy took off on a couple of the Road Kings. Let me tell you, that 107 is a rocket compared to my '14 Limited. We got out on the road and hit 100 before we got to the stop light. When we got on the ramp to get on the freeway, my buddy took off and I took off behind him. We hit 120 before we got on the freeway. I was amazed at how well the bike ran. I kind of wish I hadn't ridden one because now I want one. I'm going back tomorrow and ride again. LOL
A mixture of '16 and '17 Road Kings.
That's my '14 Limited sitting by the trailer.
There were 12 bikes still in the top of the trailer. I think they'll have them all out tomorrow.
I know, I know...I shouldn't have gone that fast. To be honest, I really wasn't trying to. I wanted to see what it would do but I did not intend on going that fast. The bike just got there so quick.
