The kids take them off the custom wheels on my truck. They use them for their bicycles! A thief is a thief! If I ever caught one doing it not sure what I'd do. But I'd like to take his bike! So I use the metal ones with the hex head and put them on with a wrench. Not too many kids ride around with a wrench. I have a small crescent wrench on my key chain. If you go to that much trouble, it's hard to forget them. Plus I don't do drugs, or drink and drive so the memory is still there....

Real men put the valve caps between their teeth during fill up. A little road grease and debris won't kill 'em.

There are Gator valves which don't need to be removed.

I have no problem with valve caps, but when I was riding my R1200rt I did leave 2 pairs of glasses on the rear seat. The first ones were gone and the second I back tracked on I 15 north of Great Falls and found them on the edge of the road. Bent and scratched up.
