I don't know how many of these stupid things I've lost since I've been riding. I take them off to put in some air, then ride off without putting them back on. Good thing they're cheap...
For whatever reason, I don't have this problem with my Jeep.
Heh, heh. They do make ones with a little spring loaded cap that allows you to put air in without taking them off. I used to buy them from good ol JC Whitney. Or you could just hold them between your lips when airing up. I'd be a little torqued if I lost my expensive bullet caps.
Buy a little compressor to air up at home, if you leave the cap on your garage floor it will be there when you get back. Also, buy a pack of caps to keep in your bag or jacket pocket. I keep the cap in my lips as brakeless suggested. My lips have been worse places.
buy some with Diamonds in them. i bet you won't forget them then ! i've done the same thing, left them lay somewhere. i bought nice chrome ones and now after spending some money on them my brain won't let me leave them anywhere. i hope i just didn't jinx myself.

Haven't seen one of these for a long time. Why is that?
