I use Nu Finish Polish on the undercarriage. After getting a few coats of that stuff on there it's protected quite well and afterwards all I do is spray some water on it every once in a while and the grunge just drips right off.
I only use NuFinish on the frame and undercarriage, never on the tins.
I like to clean the undercarriage every once in a while but like jbnl163 said: It's hard to keep it clean when you're putting on the miles.
Never saw it that way...it's probably the easiestpart of the the entire bike to clean quickly. As long as a good base coat of wax is there it wipes down easily.Doesn't need to look flawless, just clean.
Of course, isn't it part of the bike? I put a lot of miles on too. Everytime I clean the top, I clean the bottom. I evenremove the fenders twice a year and clean the underside of them too. It's a great opportunity to visually inspect the entire bike and correct any problems. It's called preventitive maintainence.
I don't see the point. If you ride your bike enough, the bottom of the frame and motor will look like it has been sandblasted from gravels flying up and hitting it.
