Except when you pop the spring off when you climb a curb. Then the jiffy stand becomes a spark generator as it drags the ground. Carry a bungee to hold it up when this happens. BTDT many times.

Anyone ever have the jiffy stand collapse?
No, never. I've slept on my bikes, 'slept' on my bikes , tied tarps to them for camping, tied hammocks to them for camping. Never, ever had the jiffy be anything other than rock stable.

It'll hold up my fat ***, not that I'm bouncing around on it while parked.

I'm going to say they are pretty damn strong and you should not have a problem.

The only flaw in a basically perfect kick(Jiffy)stand design, is that given the right curb contact, you will destroy the return spring. Other than that they are virtually indestructible. And as mentioned, by FAR the best in the industry.

My wife gets on the bike while I'm sitting on it, with the kickstand down. I weigh 215. The wife is 5'9". Don't know what she weighs, I'd guess about 165. The kickstand doesn't seem to flex.
I figure the kickstand is designed to withstand 2 people a lot bigger than us.
