Default Electrical

Need some insight: 2013 Ulira Classic Limited; fuel gauge reads full with yellow low fuel light. Intermittent yellow engine light and red battery light (with voltage drop to 11). Replaced fuel sensor in the tank - works sometimes; still goes to full and yellow low fuel light on occasionally, but not always at same time. Still get once in awhile the yellow engine light and red battery light with voltage drop to 11.

Broken, frayed, loose wire? Which one?!

H-E-P-L (help!)

Check battery cable connections first, and any engine or frame grounds.

This. Check the simple stuff first. A bad ground can cause all kinds of issues. Clean and tighten all ground connections.

Yes. So, I removed +/- cables and removed the gray patina on the battery terminals down to shiny silver and replaced the cables. Also checked frame ground (tight) and located the triple tree ground in the batwing. Checked it tight and reviewed all wires between fuel level sensor to the gauge in batwing (no breaks or frays). Buttoned it all up and haven't have any issues on the last three rides. I kinda had that thought when I got the intermittent yellow engine light and red battery light - bad battery connection or a loose ground. Worked out so far! We'll see.

THANKS!
