Well, after going back and forth over how to improve the ride on our Ultra, I pulled the trigger on some Ohlin HD-772's. All I can say is Wow! had played with the stock air shocks, new oil, varying pressures, etc. Never could get what I was looking for. We had not even gotten 2 miles from home and the wife said she could feel the difference. Took me a little longer. It was quite a worthwhile purchase. Bike actually feel like it is under me all the time and not trying to dance out. Worked with Dan Kyle at Dan@kyleusa.com. Asked all the right questions to get the setup for me. Great price and customer service. He said the only problem will be that I will now notice how the front end will be lacking and I will want to up-grade that too. He was right on target. Oh well, Ohlin makes cartridges for that too.
Congratulations, I recently upgraded to Pro-Action and the difference over stock in incredible. Ride is wonderful and I never expected the handling to improve as much as it did.
Now I want to upgrade the front End!
Knowing what I know now I would tell anyone buying a new bike to make their suspension the very first upgrade they spend money on. The factory air shocks are a 1000 times worse than I ever realized. I personally would not use any air system again. Too much trouble.
Ride safe and enjoy.
