Friend just passed MSF and is shopping. Finds a bike on CL and sends me the link. I notice the add has a dealers website that includes "HD" in the title. He implies he's a HD dealer, he's not. He has 3 bikes on CL and several on his website marked "sold".
Would you even consider these bikes or move along? To me his website is a Red flag and says he's dishonest right away.
Sounds too good to be true...tell your bud to stick w/something simple for learning. Back in the day, when I was 10, we learned to ride on dirt bikes. This way they don't trash their dream ride in the process of gaining riding experience.

That has nothing to do with the OPs question. The answer is, if this guy is representing himself as an HD dealer and is not, look elsewhere.
A lot of dealers advertise their used inventory on CL. If it has a phone number and real location, then you go and have a look. If he is posted in Iraq and has stored bikes in his uncle's garage, then you know what to do!!
Curb dealer. Basically a regular joe who buys bikes on the cheap, maybe cleans it up and fixes one thing, then resells it. Dude might even have a dealer license, but he wont have any working relationship with a loan outfit, and he won't take trade-ins.
