Morning, been doing homework on bags for my 03 FB, and with price and quality (and look's) kinda decided to go with Viking bags with quick release.
#7665 is LG bag $259.99
#7659 is XL bag $254.99 never seen XL cost less than LG ??
Well, here's the issue for me, I did search this morning on this site and it seem's everyone is more than happy with the bags--BUT Many say Company is Service from HELL, IS IT REALLY THAT BAD ????????
I just want to order and have all part's in box and shipped same day, it sounds like a monkey packages shipment's as many are missing something, OR do they sell thousand's of unit's and I'm only seeing 25-30 complaint's that HATE the Company as bad as it appears ???? any input please !!!!!!!!
This is who i dealt with and no complaints when I had my softail deluxe. Great bags!
The bags are made from genuine top-grain leather and feature stainless steel rivets and buckles. The high density polyethylene vacuum formed back provides a rigid custom molded structure for the back of the bags. ABS plastic inserts line the gusset and front of the bag to insure the bags hold their shape
I've dealt with them. I ordered a bag, which was too small for what I needed. I sent it back and I was issued a refund, all with in 7-10 day. I call that reasonable and I'm a happy customer.
Maybe...call them up and talk w/someone, to satisfy your curiosity. Sometimes people simply bitch to bitch and get peeved at one little issue. I've experienced problems w/many companies and don't get all "wrapped around the axle" if one little thing isn't perfect. For me, calling & talking w/live body, treating them w/respect and being flexible always works.
Well I just ordered bags and quick release, even put note in proper space telling them I didn't have a removeable sissy bar (PLEASE make sure all correct bolt's are shipped).
So it's Saturday, I'll update when order show's and if everything is in it, thank's
I once ordered a set of "Viking" leather bags only to discover when they arrived they were "Viking Leather" bags. They weren't real leather as was implied. However I had no problem with returning and getting my money back.
Bags seemed decent quality if you were looking for non-leather bags. I think they have cut back with calling their products leather now, as I just browsed their site.
Just want to say thank's to you guy's putting in your 2 cent's, I will follow up with final review-ordered Saturday-so hope they ship Monday, should get them mid week.
**I have a FUNNY feeling this company is getting a BAD RAP by a very small percentage of deal's that weren't smooth, I'll keep finger's crossed and hope I don't regret defending this company to soon, but I don't like any company getting bashed to death because only the small % of yeller's are heard way more than the satisfied customer's.
