I love riding late afternoon and night riding, but the deer have gotten so bad here in Western Kentucky that I'm afraid to get out. We rode for about 2 hours last night and nearly hit about 5 deer. A friend hit a deer last week on his bike so that's added more fear to us. He was really lucky that he wasn't hurt very bad, but still scarey.
My personal favorite is to leave on a long ride at 0-dark:30 when highways and byways are quiet. Then stop for breakfast at a nice sit-down restaurantafter the sun is up.
My wife likes our night time full moon putts through the local country side.
Sounds good but around hereI try to get where I'm going before sunset. All of the bugs are out then. And if your near a river it worse. Had to pull over one time to clean off faceshield after only about a mile. And a night you're trying to dodge the big ones that show up in your headlight.
yes I am a sunset chaser. its too hot here is s.fla to ride after 10am and it doesn't even hint of cooling off till after 6pm.
add in a stop for ice cold drafts w/wings/ribs and I'm just short of an orgasm. fine looking broads ta boot? sure! but not required.
Too hot here most of the year to enjoy sunsets. Sunrises on the other hand are quite nice! It's only about 95 in the mornings (July-late Sept), so it feels good, seeing the fresh air, less people on the road, just beautiful!
I was just gonna say the same thing, although I have to be honest I have not been able to find the ocean yet...
