Default Servi-Car Frame

I am restoring a '61 servi-car and have a question about the frame. When I stripped it down I notice a cutout underneath on the bottom part of the frame. In doing research I've notice some frames with the same cutout and some without. Just trying to see if it serves a purpose or is the frame damaged?

Not sure if this is what your talking about, but my 1957 Servi-car has a semi circular cut out in the frame. Its near the front, in the flat part under the motor, I have no idea why it's there, but it's original.

Here's a pic, and one of my '57....

I'll have to go look at my '64 and try to figure out what that is.

Isn't that the cut out for the ABS unit bracket? Maybe it's to route wiring for the infotainment and navigation system? LOL

Could it be to allow oil to clear the frame bracket if removing the drain plug at the bottom of the crankcase if the motor has sumped?

Some beautiful rides that you guys have.
