I bought a brand new 2015 Ultra Classic Limited and had it to two different dealers for a check engine and temp light and lost all my coolant the second time. I was told on both occasions there was nothing wrong and sent on my way. Well a few weeks ago just a few hundred miles from the second visit I go out for a ride and ten minutes into the ride I get the lights again but didn't lose coolant so I take it to a third dealer and they say my wiring looks like it's been in a flood or something and they need to replace the entire wiring harness just to test the water pump and do other diagnostic test. a few days later the dealer calls to say that the moco will not warranty it due to environmental issues. I have been on the phone with the moco several times but they won't cover it. At about $3000 to just fix the wiring I really don't understand how they are getting away with this. My bike only has 3600 miles and I have never rode in the rain and it has also always been in the garage. I don't have a clue how water would have gotten in there.
Has anyone else had the same issue
Thanks for any help
Do not lay down for this BS. Speak with the owner of the dealership and tell him that you want to hear directly from the factory rep on this case. If you don't get satisfaction, go to the Ohio Attorney General's office and file a Lemon Law complaint. The bikes are made to be washed with a hose and ridden in torrential rain. If you went with the flood BS you could file a claim with your insurance company and their rep would deny the claim as there would have actually had to been an accident or a flood.
