Just got the Sena 20S EVO communication system and I'm looking for an app for playing music on my phone. Everyone I know is using either Spotify or Google but I'd prefer something that isn't a streaming service.
Preferable something that can be voice controlled, supports multiple play lists and is easy on the battery.
Lately I have been using Amazon Music instead of Pandora or Spotify. It is included free if you have Amazon Prime. It has no ads and unlimited skips. I usually listen to it streaming, but you can download songs and make playlists. I have a couple of playlists saved for when I am out of cell range or on a plane.
Battery usage doesn't seem to be bad, no worse than Pandora or Spotify.
Any of the ones mentioned are very good, zero of them will support voice control.
Amazon, Google, and Spotify allow you to play music that's stored on the device, *in addition* to streaming, but you wont be able to avoid an app that is capable of streaming. So just dont use that feature.
It's obviously not a phone app, but if you already have the music, what I did was put the music on a micro sd card in a usb adapter and used that. It's all voice controlled and works very well.

What do you plug the USB adapter into?
I'll be getting stuff out of the box and installing it tonight. No time today, got to ride.
Another PowerAmp user here. Afaik it doesn't support voice control.
Has lots of features, but my gripe for use on the bike is no built in support for a 'car' interface with big easy to hit controls. I get around this by using a car home app that integrates with it, but I'm thinking I might try some other music players.
