How To Do Stage 1 And Not Void Warranty
Dealer told me a day later that instead of VH FP3 I need to use SE Pro Street Tuner if I don't want to void my warranty. Any way around this? From what I've been reading SE Pro Street tuner is a little wimpy. I'm under the impression the VH 2:1 Pro Pipe is a pretty nice upgrade. Wouldn't want to handicap that.
Thanks for the input.

If you have a 2017 or later, and you use any tuner module other than the Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner to retune your bike, the Consent Decree mandates that your entire power train warrant is completely void. It doesn't matter if the tune causes any problems, it doesn't matter if something happens with the power train that is completely unrelated to the tune, the power train warranty claim MUST be denied.
If your dealer decides to take a chance and honor your warranty claim, if they're caught the fines will be in the thousands of dollars, and they could lose their dealership franchise.
If you want to use something other than the Pro Street Tuner module, then you're going to have to decide if you're willing to risk a power train warranty issue, and then pay for it yourself. And, if you have an Extended Service Plan, that is voided as well.
There is a partial work-around. If you do the work you want to do, and then use the SE Pro Street Tuner, you can download a "stock" tune that is reasonably close to what you need. Then, you or your dealer can do some small tweaks to the stock tune to get it closer to what you want. It won't be as good as a Power Vision tune, or a TTS Master Tune tune, but it won't void your warranty.

They are being up front with you by saying you need the screaming eagle tuner to keep your warranty intact and that the fp3 tuner will void the warranty. There are countless threads about this stemming from the EPA ruling and fine Harley had to pay. I can't remember if this affected 2016's and up or 2017's and up, but regardless your bike is a 2017 therefore the ruling applies.
It is laid out in black and white. There is no gray area. The tuner is the most significant warranty requirement.
Your choices are:
Leave the bike's tuning stock until warranty runs out
Use a non compliant tuner and be prepared to pay for repairs out of pocket on the off chance that your bike does experience a problem.
Use the screaming eagle tuner which is EPA and warranty compliant.
Alternatively, if you would have bought an older bike none of this would matter.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I'll prob just go with the SE Pro Street Tuner, VH Pro Pipe, and SE Air Intake.
Anyone know how the SE Pro Street Tuner would work with VH Pro Pipe?
Thanks.
