103 intake with defective gap?
Hey guys. I was at a HD dealer in Georgia a few weeks back just looking at bikes. I design parts and accessories so I was looking for ideas. I noticed a new bike 2017 with a 103 (don't remember, might have been a Softail Slim) Anyway, I was looking at the intake filter and I noticed that it was mounted with a 3/32" gap between the filter box and the throttle body. I checked to see if it was loose but it was clearly designed that way. Now this will allow more air in the intake as well as bugs and dirt. I pointed it out to the salesman and he turned cold on me. He stopped being my new friend. Have any of you seen this or know anything about it. I am having trouble thinking Harley would do this on purpose.
