The problem is differently related to the hot wire.
Copper broken inside the insulation...it has enough of a connection to read on a meter...but as soon as you put a load on it, it opens up...seen it a hundred times.
Well the problem is power to the passing light.
It appears I've got a "partial" open somewhere.
From the wiring schematic there's only 2 connections that are dedicated to each individual passing light.
From the on/off switch power continues through a single wire to connector 73A/B.
At connector 73A/B power is broken into two wires going to connectors 73RB and 73LB.
So if the problem was before connector 73A/B both passing lights would be impacted.
My bet is a bad connection at connector 73A/B..
Well it didn't take long to locate the issue.
As expected the problem is inside connector 73A/B.
I don't have a 2 wire connector handy so I just spliced the right passing light power wire into the left passing light power wire.
BTW- to access this area all that's needed is to loosen the two bolts on each side and remove the allen screws (1 on the left and 2 on the right).
Then the covers come off.
No response needed here, I just hate people posting a problem but don't post the fix.
All is now well.
