Looking for your recommendations for a seat for a Slim S. I'm 5'1" so I'm looking for something that won't raise me any higher than stock but will be more comfortable (if such an animal exists). If it brings me forward that would be a plus. The LePera Bare Bones Up Front looks interesting but the online blurb says it's good for bar hopping but not so much for longer rides. Any personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
Mean City Cycles. They can rebuild the seat and make it way more comfortable. Call Lori and talk to her about what you want to accomplish. Much cheaper than a new seat also.

Corbin Saddles. I've used Corbin on all motorcycles that have needed a more comfortable seat. The stock FLSS seat is a miserable. Probably the second worst seat I've ever ridden on for anything longer than sitting for a half hour.
I don't think the Corbin saddles raise you up any; check with them. They take maybe 100 miles to break in, but once they do, they are all-day comfortable. On their site you can create your own colors and stitching. They can also make it heated. They put a lock on for your seat so no one can easily steal it.
I rode my FLSS with the Corbin on Saturday. Rode with a couple stops all day without ever thinking about my saddle...
borrow a mustang seat from one o your buddies to try out
If OP can find an older one I would agree but they have gone way downhill last few years. First one I had was awesome and could ride endlessly without discomfort. Last one I couldn't get rid of fast enough. Now I have Corbin and hard to believe something as hard to touch could be as comfortable as it is. Also have a Danny Gray that is awesome.
But again, to OP I would seek if not MCC, a good local upholsterer. I had to for my Road King as the pan was custom built. Paid less than $100.00 and that included memory foam which made the seat quite comfortable. Best of luck!!!
