You'd be surprised how quick todays ethanol gasoline can go bad. A few years ago I put my push mower away for the winter and forgot to put stabilizer in the fuel. I think it was in late November. The next spring I tried to mow and the mower wouldn't start. Carb and tank had gummed up from varnished gas in just 3-4 months.

I agree. As a minimum put non ethanol gas in. If it’s not available use Stabil or Seafoam.

Really a fellow biker and this comment. For many of us old or young a Trike is the only way to keep riding. For me it was the cancer treatment that fried my balance so at 60 no more 2 wheeler ever. I have friends that say Not me not ever no 3 wheeler for me. Well life changes cancer, an accident even arthritis can do it.
Ask yourself what it would be like to NEVER be able to ride again or just add a wheel to the bike you ride now. Ride On

I have several close friends who ride trikes, and I have no problem with it. Everybody has to follow their own path and do what works for them, for whatever reason.

Maybe my response was a bit harsh, despite the "wink", and I apologize to anyone who felt I was criticizing them. It was made in response to a comment "calling me out" for choosing not to ride all winter.

Thin skin?????? What did I say to set you off???? "Calling you out" - how?? I said for me to spend $$$$ and store the bike for 6 months is stupid. I don't know what you trike haters have against people (wounded vets and medically challenged riders) that can no longer ride 2 wheels. You must be better then us?

No big talk -just my opinion.

I rode a 2 wheeler for 51 years - and now my hip is starting to give out. What do you want me to do, give up riding all together like you will probably do in a few years? Never happen - I'm going to do whatever is necessary to stay in the wind.....except drive a convertible.

Go ahead and just cuddle up on your couch all winter - I'll be out riding, having fun with a big smile on my face.

I hope you're able to ride on 2 wheels until you're 90 - I know I will on 3.

I started out in life on a trike and I'll go out on a trike.

Bottom line, Enjoy whatever you do for as long as you can - life changes before you know it.

Don't forget to head to the Dragon and show those two wheelers how to do it Gary.

I ride when I want, park when I don't. If someone else wants to make my payments, I'll gladly ride when they say I should. I ride because I enjoy it. Sometimes I'll leave the house in the rain, just to go for a ride. Sometimes I'll drive my truck for a week straight. I ride at least once, or twice a month all winter, so no need to "put it away", but winter in GA is a little different than say, Boston.

I don't ride if it's below 55, or above 80. Still get to ride 350 days a year.

LOL, just kidding!

Ride all year here. Yeah, we pay thru the nose for everything here, but we get to ride everyday here too...

In Ohio, Ive only seen one winter where I couldn't ride at least once or twice every month, except for January. So, I just keep the Tender plugged in.

You're more then welcome to come with me/us to Rolling Thunder next year. On the way back we'll do the BRP and then the Dragon. We do it each year.
I can only show them how "I" do it. They already know how to do it on 2 wheels.

Nobody's telling you to ride when your uncomfortable. I won't unnecessarily ride if I'm uncomfortable either.
