I would be very surprised. Many people who live in farm country buy gasoline in bulk for off road implement use. It has ethanol in it. After the harvest fuel sits for over 3-4 months in the storage tank and gets used in spring. There's never a problem. The gas works fine. If you had a gummed up carb on your lawn mower it's because you didn't turn the fuel off after using it. So gas drains and evaporates in the carb. That's not surprising. Most Harley's today are injected and have electric fuel pumps with sealed tanks. Not much chance for evaporation. If gas went bad as fast as you said half the new cars sitting on dealer lots for months would never start. Some of that gas is a lot older than 6 months. I know that for a fact.

No hibernation needed in south western NC. Bikes live in a heated garage and will get fired up and ridden weekly or bi-weekly.

I love Florida. This is the beginning of riding season for me. The daily rain is stopping and its not 93 degrees. Its just cooling off and in a month or so I'll get to break out my leather jacket even!
