At 6'4" I needed a seat that gives me more leg room. The LePera Daddy Long Legs models got my interest. Picked up a Maverick DLL off ebay. Very happy with the build quality and more leg room than the stocker. Also picked up a Villain DDL for a more stylish look, but it does give up some comfort for style.
Both seats are firm, but I spent the previous 10 yrs on a hardtail chopper so my a$$ is happy. Most of the time I run the Villain and switch over to the Maverick when the OL and I are doing a 200+ mile day.
Not a fan of the overstuffed look and the "Road Sofa" may be a fine seat but the name alone turns me off from the product...
I think it's important that people mention their size, too, when discussing seats. I'm 5'-9", 145 lbs.
Bare Bones and Silhouette owner here. I bought both based on looks and I have no experience with any other seats. I can (and have) sit on the Bare Bones all day / every day. Pit stops aside, I've had 16 hour days with it and never felt sore. Granted, I do tend to also stand up at red lights every so often.
The Silhouette is not as comfortable for me. It has a slightly higher seating position and I start to feeling it after several hours.
I'm on the fence about buying another Bare Bones because I love how the diamond stitching looks. May also go with biker gel.
I have a Bare Bones on my '94 Fatboy. It looks fantastic, but it does indeed start to hurt after a while.
I recently looked at the Cobra. It looks very similar to the Bare Bones, but it's about 2.5 inches wider. I wonder if that would make it more comfortable.
