Default What should I Do?

I need a little advice. I have wanted a street glide for awhile now and have saved some cash, but now presented with another problem. While talking this over with my banker he says “hey wanna see my bike it’s a 2017 CVO Limited.” The talk goes on for awhile then he says “it has 4000 km and I want a 2018 so I will sell it to you for around$40,000 CDN.

HELP!!!!! What do I do?

MSRP on that bike is only $41,000.00 so he’s trying to sell a used bike like it’s brand new, I’d tell him to suck it. I’ll also tell you to never borrow money to buy a toy

Also he paid fees so it is not that far off. If you are serious I'm thinking he would take a reasonable offer.

I have stayed in Lethbridge a number of times in my rides to and returning from Canadian rides. It seemed like one of the nicest Canadian cities. Saw no run down areas. All the folks I encountered at the motels, restaurants and service stations were friendly and helpful.

THAT is about the most UN-professional statement from a banker I have ever heard.
He want's to offer you a loan to finance the sale of his personal bike to you?
Tell him to **** off,
Withdraw all of your funds from his bank
And never play golf with him again.!!

In a sense, he's wanting you to give him the money, so he can buy a new bike.

My thinking is if you like the Street Glide style then you should stick to Plan A. There is a reason why they are the number one seller. On the other hand if you are planning on a lot of long distance touring the Limited is the better option and you have some figuring to do, especially if the seller might come down a couple g's. The banker's actions are borderline, for his sake if you need a loan to buy his bike he will definitely need to refer you to another banker.

Nope, not in Canada. MSRP was $48,699. Then of course there's GST, freight, and the usual dealer BS fees. Doubt if it was bought for less than $50k CAD.

With only 4,000 km (about 2500 miles) that's actually not a bad deal.

Good plan! Always helps when you can cut out the middleman.

Buy the SG. There's isn't enough special about a CVO to justify the price.
