Default Big bore 110 kit.

Thinking about a 110 kit for 2016 breakout. But not sure what kit to get Screaming eagle or the S&S . The guys at are harley shop say get screaming eagle cause it will be covered on the waranty. But im looking at the S&S he says it might not be covered . What you think is best on performence.

Neither one, build it into a 107 and call kit good.

I'm not sure about your dealer, but I've heard some dealers won't warranty the Screamin Eagle kit unless it's installed at the time of a new bike purchase. With that said, it isn't reasonable to expect a dealer to warranty a part that they didn't manufacture or sell, though arguably the S&S kit shouldn't affect the warranty on any other part(s) of your bike.

In my opinion the S&S kit is the better of the two. It comes with forged pistons as opposed to cast pistons in the SE kit, plus the CP/Carrillo pistons that come in the S&S kit also have a small dome, so you have the option of machining the dome to get the optimum compression ration for your combination. It also comes with ring packs that you need to file to fit, which IMO is good for peace of mind as you either know it was done right or you know who is to blame.

With that said, from what I hear the SE kit isn't bad either, and I haven't heard of any recent problems with it. With either one I would strongly recommend checking all clearances before just slapping it on your bike.

I just ordered the S&S kit myself yesterday.

I personally don't feel a 107 is a great "bang for the buck" unless you're in a situation where you need to bore anyway. Might as well get the most cubes you can while you're at it, especially since you have down time involved in tearing the engine down, boring the cylinders, fitting the new pistons, etc. and not being able to ride during that time. But, to each his own....

hd is not gonna cover the s&s. s&s will. the hd 110 tire shredder kit is great. will need to ditch the ETC 58mm and get a cable 58mm throttle body and 58mm new air cleaner since that kit includes a ETC 58mm throttlebody.

can't go wrong either way.

both offer simple 110 drop in cyclinder/piston only kits too.

Call fuelmoto,the 110 kit they sale is the same a s&s.
than you can get it all in a kit,all gaskets. Even get your head work done through them.
think this would be your best bang for your dollar if you want to go 110

S&S supplies all gaskets. Fuel moto uses s&s parts. Whats the advantage of intentionality paying the middle man?

Currently, S&S is charging $1099 for the kit, whereas Fuel Moto is charging $999 for the same kit. It's been my experience that "middle man" vendors often charge a lower price for an item than the supplier/manufacturer does.

With that said, I got my S&S kit for just a tick over $900 by browsing the internet....

agreed. That $1099 is their msrp. The net provides for those that seek, lol.

s&s msrp on the chain 110 power pak is 2800. I got it for 2000.

i was getting at going through fm. They will want their pound of flesh. The outlaw fm heads are worked over $900 s&s heads with the s&s shaved off. Deal at $1899, lol. I am being silly and minimizing the hard work they put in to them. Fuel moto is full of good hardworking and overly helpful folks.

Simple solution if your dealer will warranty the SE 110 kit. Get the SE 110 kit.

If you don't care about warranty, your options are endless.
