Default Drag Specialties Shocks

Greetings all and Merry Christmas!

I was in the garage and noticed the stock air shocks on my 14 Limited appear to be leaking (a common problem). I have the ESP but I don't really want to replace a problem with the same problem. I did some internet searching and saw the Drag Specialties Shocks for a reasonable price.

Does anyone have experience with them and would you recommend them?

For all those with Progressive, Ohlins..., I understand they are superior. I am just looking for feedback on the Drag Specialties Shocks.

Thanks in advance.

LOL KevinSay ConfuciusSay should ask this question in the touring section, and I will be watching as well cause new shocks are on my want list.

Buy once, cry once. Drag Specialties is not known for quality products. I'm sure their shocks are no different. My recommendation would be to get some Ohlins shocks. They're the best and you won't regret it.

Drag Specialty shocks are made by progressive. Decent shock for the money. I'm running a set on my Road King until I can save up the scratch for something better.
They've been on it for 2 years now. Always something coming along to keep me from buying up (cars, truck, House etc)

If they are the new ride height adjustable shocks, pass. I ordered a set of those off Ebay for a good price. They bottomed like crazy with my 175 lb self and my 130 lb girlfriend. I adjusted the preload as far as they would go and they still bottomed, even riding one up. This is one product where the stock air shocks are vastly superior. I dumped them and the girlfriend.

Understood and I generally subscribe to this philosophy.

Keep your eyes on the classifieds here. I picked up a set of Progressive very reasonably priced. But if you want to try a bandaid on your shocks, try replacing the air system with Schrader valves. Got me by until I got what I upgraded to.

If you have been satisfied with the old shocks performance wise and if they would be replaced under the ESP that you have then it would make sense to me to use the plan and get another set of stock shocks. When the plan is up then change when needed. Shock replacement isn't too difficult. I would get some money back on the ESP.
