I wasn't paying attention at the gas pump last night and I sprayed gas all over my bike, pants, and my leather harley jacket. Now the jacket is stinking up my apartment. Any tricks that might help? Thanks.

I had that happen with a Von Dutch windbreaker I had, soaked the whole sleeve in gas. Have not worn it since. I heard that washing it wouldn't really help, but I know it is different with leather. Try some Lexol on it. Get it at Pepe Boys, I think it has a nice smell to it, and it conditions as well...

I know that if I get gas on my hands when wrenching, I will use tooth paste to remove the smell. This is also an old fishermans trick to get the smell of fish off. I would try it.

Good old zest and water or fast orange hand cleaner.

I suppose you won't go for "strike a match?" The next choice is "lower your standards." The smell gets less and less by degrees. At some point you're used to it and don't notice. You can probably shorten the process by sending it to the cleaners. At least it'll stink up their premisis while it's at its worst.
