Maybe so, but some of the best out of the way places around here have them. Conversely, there's some sort of oklahoma liquor law that requires a bar (within city limits maybe) to have a paved parking lot in order to serve anything more than low point beverages, aka 3.2% beer.

I swapped a pair of the flat stock Super Glide bars for a set of pull back drag bars on my 02 and had plenty of cable. I think it had 6 inches or so of pull back plus 3 or 4 inches of rise. There's usually a fair amount of cable tucked away on these bikes. Most times you can take the cable ties off that hold the cables to the frame and get several more inches if you need to. You might need to bend your front brake line a little but if you go real slow and are careful its no big deal.

You can easily re-route the clutch and brake/throttle cables behind the triple trees to give you slack. As above, plenty spare cable tucked along the backbone...b.
