We have made several trips with groups up to 20. Recommend the Coachlite Inn in Sister Bay, bike friendly.

When we had rainy days they opened the garage for us all to park our bikes in plus gave us all the towels we needed to wipe down our bikes.

Cave point county park is a must see & it's free.
It will be busy on weekends though.

Surprised nobody mentioned attending one of the fish boils, if you have never experienced one I would highly recommend it.

Best time to visit Door County is early spring or fall. There are less tourists and the fall colors are nice. I like Egg Harbor.

If you take the trip in summer, consider visiting the Experimental Aircraft Show in Oshkosh or the Superbike races at Road America in Elkhart Lake. Neither event is in Door County, but they're not far away. Since you coming from Indiana, another option is to tie in your travel date with Harley's 115th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee.

I think in free time you must go somewhere but now I do not know if it is possible because of COVID-19. Door County is beautiful but I prefer to go somewhere abroad for example in Mexico or Europe. I am planning to go now to Mexico in Cancun but I am afraid about the situation with Covid*19 and my garage door at my house also has broken. My friend has shown me patio doors , they have all kinds of doors which looks very stylish and are on acceptable price, I think it will be useful and for you !
