Just a reminder when you message someone about riding - we all arent guys.
Not offended, actually made me chuckle a bit, but got a message that started with Hey guy....
Im a gal, and have been riding for over 35 years, not counting riding 2-up with my daddy since I was little. Have a RK and an Ultra. Put some serious miles on before grad school started over-riding my time *pun intended *.
😃
Okay, I`m almost afraid to ask, but how did you come up with the screen name "Puddles"?

But then what would we do about some of our questionable gender POD members like Queefy, etal?

Not for many of the libs on here, it doesn`t.

We're in a man's world and I'm ok being one of the guys as long as they don't get crude.
Why not spice up your avatar with "jiggly **** and ***"?

Sorry **** not hanging out, but don't think I look very 'guy-ish' ROFL
Even when I magnified it, I had a hard time telling you were female from that avatar, because it is small. I like the flag though.

It's my road name. You know you don't always like the way you get road names.....but they stick and you just need to embrace it. LOL
Years ago.....Riding through a horrible rain (the kind your following the water tail from the bike ahead of you cuz ya can't see the road, and each time the bike floats you start praying you land chrome side up). When we were finally able to stop I left puddles everywhere I walked. The "rude, crude, socially unacceptable guys" I was with thought it was funny that I/a gal, was leaving puddles everywhere I walked. It stuck.
ROFL!
I got in trouble at work once because i started an email out as "Hey girls..." it was going to 3 of my coworkers, i didn't mean any disrespect at all. It was in reply to an email that they sent me saying "Hey Guys" so "Hey Girls" to me as a reply seemed fine. According to HR i am suppose to refer to them as "Ladies" so "Hey Ladies" would have been more appropriate. Yes they went to HR about that. Now, lets look at this a little further. How many of you would get upset if a female at your work started out an email with "Hey Boys..." when sending to a group of dudes? No one. How about upset enough to go to HR about it?
I say hi guys etc in mixed company. Yup I know your not a guy, its just an accepted north east habit
You used the word Gal - Believe it or not, very recently I was hauled into HR for saying, 'She's a real nice gal' in a meeting. Gal I found out in the new PC world is a derogatory word..
Appreciate the thread.. I just look at the intent on how things are said..

I was hauled into HR for saying "hey girls" in an email. There was no ill will intended at all.

Its CRAZY what people get offended by.... I spent time travelling for work in the south and TX and Gal, girls, ladies is used all the time... These F'in millennials need to understand life and walk away from occupy wall street.. My tone was complimentary and I got a sheet in my HR jacket. I walked on that job.. ALL because a snivelling 26 year old did not understand the word or the intent of Gal....
