I use guys as a generic term. I use to say gals but some women take offense. How would you like be addressed?
I think I would assume Puddles was a guy. I appreciate UKLauren, Queen of Clubs, Sarah and Gypsylady. Theyre all sassy and sweet, and they put up with us old guys stuck in traditional masculinity. Masculinity is under attack these days. I think families were more stable when men were men, so its nice to hang out in a forum where you dont have to walk on eggshells.
My DILs sister is a lesbian. Shes married. She was pregnant about 3 years ago and my sweet wife innocently asked if they knew the sex. She got a stern lecture on how gender is determined after birth, Yada, Yada, Yada.
Its hard for us old people. We only had blue or pink cigars for birth announcements.

We don't have an HR dept. per se. Management won't allow customers in our shop, not for insurance purposes, but so they won't hear what we say in the shop all day.
If we had an HR dept., there probably wouldn't be a single technician left in the dealership.
