I found parking on Main Street 3 days in a row, for two bikes, 'nuff said about crowd size. TT races last night were very good, but too damn cold at the track. We are pulling out on Saturday to head back north, supposed to be 80 that day, go figure. Not sure what we are doing today, motel has a nice beach side area with grilles, talk is to spend the day cooking and drinking and leave Main St to others. We will see, if it gets warm I would like one more ride, and is it too much to ask for a t-shirt only ride?!?! It has been like Laconia down here at night since Monday. Still way better then work. Carry on.
What the hell did he do? Try to pass him and hit the car?
Tried to squeeze by the parked cop car with his old lady on the back of his trike, when I got there there were 4 cops just standing there shaking their heads. Older gent.
I was there Saturday thru Tuesday and left on Wednesday. Sunday was the best day weather wise. Gorgeous, no wind, and almost 80 degrees. Monday rain but the sun came out at 2pm but it was pretty windy. I was out that day with a buddy that lives in Ormond in his truck (he doesn't have a bike). Tuesday, it was still chilly and some wind. Not one of the better Bike Weeks I've been to in the past. My buddy couldn't make it his year so I was wandering around by myself most of the time. Lots of great people watching.
I went to the dog track to play poker Monday night and won $250.
I just got home about an hour ago. Went to the Biltwell Bash at Robison Motorcycle on US92 in Daytona. Had catfish, grits and free beer. A lot of older bikes in chopper form. Wish I'd taken my Sportster. Surprised by the turnout. Well worth the stop.
Then up to the Iron Horse and Beaver Bar (my bike is with the orange side panel in the lower part of the photo). Saw about 25 minutes of David Allan Coe's set, then headed home. Weather was perfect. Cloudless skies, not too hot, not too cool.

Robison's is a great motorcycle shop. Fun to look around and see how things were back in the good old days. A lot of locals curse the day the HD franchise was sold to Bruce Rossmeyer.

Glad to see that maybe people are getting wise to the rip-offs and shenanigans they face when attending events like Bikeweek and Biktoberfest. It used to be about the motorcycle now it's become a Vegas/Disney World style cash grab where for an entire week the goal is to shake the attendee down for as much money as possible.

Sounds like the Laughlin River Run. Went back in 1995 and saw how it is...
