Not sure how old my battery is on my 2012 Ultra Classic, although i'm not into taking a chance on getting stranded. It seems to struggle at first when cranking, but has always kicked over. Any suggestions?
What yours is doing, mine did. I took it to get it checked a onc cell was going bad, so I got a new one. It's better than being stranded, unless you've got one of those batter jumper gimmicks.
I keep it on a tender. If not, I would definitely have major cranking issues. It goes like a half turn, then stops, then cranks. Almost like it needs compression releases.
You'll get all kinds of recommendations. Harley OEM, Deka, Big Crank, Yuasa, Interstate, Odyssey, Optima. I'll add another. I just bought this off Amazon Throttle X MX30L - MOTORCYCLE BATTERY - 600+ CCA. $139.00. I thought I would try it for the 600 CCA. Works great but I can't attest to the longevity. My OEM battery went 4 years and the Big Crank I replaced it with went 4 years. Both of them still had some life left in them but I believe better safe than sorry.

I bought the Batteries Plus Duracell Ultra AGM, part # CYL10008. It has a 2 year full replacement warranty thats not prorated. I believe its the same CCA as the OEM battery. $125 plus 10% off when you buy online and pick up in the store.
Buy any battery, then they offer you 10% off the battery you need. Sometimes 12% free shipping. Seems almost every day they're sending some kind of promo.
If your battery is telling you "it's about done, " I'd listen.
Get a Yuasa or if you want a really trouble free battery that last a very long time and you have bucks, get a Shorai or a WPS lithium ion. They cost a heck of a lot more, but they last 3, 4, 5 times as long making them worth it. You also get the benefit of not having much need for a tender due to the very slow discharge rate. Store all winter with no problems. Light weight, trouble free, high CCA, and a long life. What's not to like?
