ABS Brakes (2017)

I have a 2017 ultra limited. Question is: when I use just the front brake it is soft and has some travel to it, If I step on the foot brake the release the front then reapply the front brake it has less travel and is hard. My dealer told me this is normal on a 2017 ultra. I never had it on my 2013 Street glide. Anything.

My 2016 with linked ABS brakes is somewhat like that.
I've been riding it for a little over a month now and still trying to get used to the brakes.

I can feel a difference like you describe but I wouldn't say my front is soft. You may have some air in the system, maybe try flushing some fluid through the front.

Soft Front Brake

Turn the front wheel all the way to the left and pull the front brake handle as far back towards the throttle as you can. Now put a tie wrap holding the brake lever as close to the throttle as possible. Let it sit over night and check it in the morning. May not work but it's worth a try.
