Default Screaming Eagle II

HI all!

Just a quick question for you. I own a 2003 Anniversary fatboy with a set of SEII slip ons. However, the baffles have been removed. The pipes are a little too loud for my liking without the baffles and I would like to try and quiet them down a bit. I know there are aftermarket baffles, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding ones that fit the 3 inch SEII pipes so I had an idea. I have a line on a set of used SEII pipes that will fit my bike that I can get for cheap as they're scratched up pretty bad, but they still have the baffles in them. Is it possible to remove the baffles from that set and use them in mine? It would be great to not have to buy a new set of pipes just to have them a bit quieter.

Thanks guys!

Find a set of 2010 or later OEM mufflers. They will sound good on your bike, not too loud and have that nice old Kerker sound.

I have the same pipes on my Dyna. Got rid of the baffles and installed a set of Thunder Torques inserts from DK Customs. Much deeper sound and very good performance. Best part is that you can get a pair for around $30 shipped.

I had a set of Screaming Eagle II slip-ons on my 2006 Deuce. There are 3" pipes. I do not know if they are the same as yours. Anyway the bike was lost in a fire. The only thing I salvaged were the pipes. When I first got the bike only a few months before the fire, it was too loud for me. It was ok for short trips around town but longer hauls were kind of a pain due to the noise. The baffles were pretty much straight through so not great surprise. I reworked the baffles myself. I put a deflector plate in them and then drilled out the holes and added more. The sound came out really nice, with no loss in power. Anyway to the point, you can have the baffles, or the complete pipes if you want them. All I would want is the shipping. The are no longer chrome, due to the fire. I painted them flat black and offered them for sale to anyone who wanted them but no takers. If you want them they are yours, the baffles or the whole works.
