Default How to increase lean angle?

I have a 2002 fatboy. Will putting forward controls increase my lean angel? Or maybe changing wheel size? Changing from the stock tires really did help, but it is still so easy to scrape to the floorboards. Obviously having a lower profile sidewall will help, but only up until the floorboards scrape. I don't really want forwards but is this the only solution? I really like the ook for a 18" or 21" front wheel with an 18" rear, but I don't really see how this would help[ that at all. It could just be that I am in denial that I am not riding a bike that is made for the twisties, but there must be another way to keep it from scraping.

Tryhanging your body off the side like the sport bike guys do. I had a hell of a time after I put on my Thunderheader. It'll scrape before the board even touches. I personally don't like that feeling at all, especially when I'm hauling a@$. I lean forward a little and hang my butt off the seatas much as possible, and I rarely ever touch the ground any more.

You might want to look at the rear tire on your scoot....

Pig tires are not made with much of a sidewall tread.....lean too far and high/low side will be the result.

Look at a sportbike tire and the sidewall tread is much greater.

I'm sure you are not talking about knee draggin........but dont over run your tires.....

I know how to hang off and am not after that at all, just curious as to how far you can lean over a harley. Seeing as everyone is scraping, i have leaned it over far enough. I don't think hanging off will help me lean any further as once the floorboards scrape, they scrape. I am was just wanting to know how far it can lean over. I now have an answer. Thanks.

Sorry Guys, I do not buy into this 'if you're not scraping your boards you're doing it wrong' idea. I believe technique is the key. You have to set up the approach to the corner correctly. Pick your Apex, countersteer, and round you go. Just MHO.

The Extended rider floorboards that Harley makeswill push your feet 2" forward and will give you a little more clearance, but probably not as much as your looking for.
