Hands are typically the first thing to hit he pavement.... in a crash reflex.
Road debris, bee stings, etc., even sun burn
Prevents "I've got blisters on my fingers" statements - joke.
So many pros for glove wearing with few cons that I believe.

Those are the type I usually lop the fingers off of , find the softest deerskins I can and they are good for years.

No PPE (except good riding boots; a must) for me unless law or weather dictates otherwise. Jeans, t-shirt, and occasionally a bandana. Yet I'm they guy that condemns the flip-flops and shorts. A paradox, I know.
