I am impressed all around with these announcements. I really hope that a new line of engines may eventually involve a new touring fairing and setup. HD could really use a sport tourer (fairing complete top to bottom fixed)
I have wanted a adventure bike and eyeing the Bmw when it comes out next year cause the new motor is supposed to take it from 125HP to 140HP. I love the look of the Harley adventure bike but assuming it is going to be in the power range of the Honda African twin, which will be lame. Hopefully not.
First thought... Wonder it those new engines spell the end for the Sporty EVO? Eventual end to air cooled (or oil/water cooled heads), single pin crank, push rod motors?
Noted that they said...
My initial reaction to the sight of both the Street Fighter and the 2020 Custom was positive. Especially the Custom.
Indian may want start checking their six.
Love them both and smart for HD to look at targeting the segment that is kicking their ***. If they can get decent price point they may have a couple of winners.
The streetfighter is a very nice looking bike but they need to price it competitively. Go a little high, everyone will just buy a Ducati XDiavel with tons more technology or the Yamaha VMAX which is known for reliability and durability.
