Top 20+ reasons Harley sales are down
Most of those stereotypes are not true where I live. Plenty of adventure seeking, hard working, young people. They don't buy Harleys because they are too expensive. Period.
23. Millennials aren't swayed by the image Harley markets and sells to attract new buyers.
24. Harley waited way too long to try to do anything to update their product line to attract the interest of Millennials.
25. Harley priced themselves out of the Millennial market with new offerings geared towards the millennial crowd. Imports are still much cheaper and with much higher levels of performance and quality control.
26. Most Millenials think the majority of Harley riders are middle aged posers desperately trying to recapture their youth. They can't be swayed by the marketing.

now, if I was in my 20s and wanted a bike, bmw ninet for example should be enough. Compare the price, HP, tq, handling, suspension you name it to its counterpart harley. And decide honestly.
They don't know how to drive a manual.
MC demand is down, it's that simple. Read an article this morning on how electric Razor type scooters rentals are all the rage in cities to the point they are clogging up areas of the city. It's so popular the cities are banning them until they can figure out how to make money err make sure they are regulated properly. The scooters are all over the place, use an app to to pay for one with a bar code scan and zoom you are off. 20mph for 3 miles for $1, then just drop it there. The service pays folks to round up the ones that need an overnight charge, again using an app to locate them and where to place them when charged.
How is the live wire going to compete with that in cities unless city officials regulate/tax the scooters into oblivion?
