Obviously you've not seen Christie Brinkley lately ... She's still looks fabulous and could ride on the back of my scooter whenever she wants too ( As long as Red isn't around )
Most people "up at 5" are in bed by 8 or 9. Too early for me. However, early rides, especially on weekend are good. You are out on the road before all the idiots in the cars are awake
I average 5-6 hours of sleep at night. I usually go to bed around 11-11:30pm unless there is something interesting going on.The advantage of being retired is, I can take a nap whenever I want (I usually don't).
You're up and riding at 7 AM? I am not even out of bed yet. True retirement doesn't start until at least 8 AM. LOL
Some of the most enjoyable riding is around sunrise. Get on the bike just before or just as the sky is starting to get light,
put a cup of coffee in the cup holder (if I'm riding my Ultra; if I'm riding my Low Rider, no can do), and head down the road.
The morning sky, the morning light, the morning air, ridin' a Harley. Life is good!
Left my brother-in-law's house at 7am sharp. We both gased up earlier in the morning.
Hit Whistlin' Jack's at 9:30 for breakfast.
Rode Chinook Pass and White Pass through the Cascade Mountains. Had a clear view of Mt Rainer as we topped Chinook.
Stopped at the Walkabout Saloon in Naches for a quick beer - special of the day was Busch beer for $1.50 a can. At least its cheap!
Stopped at Owens HD in Yakima to eyeball 2019's, helmets, and LED turnsignal conversion kits.
Home about 5pm.
Total for the day - 316 miles.
My neck is killing me today. Got to put on a set of the Khromeworks Narrow Sweeperbars this winter.
Enjoy your rides and watch out for the cell phoners!
OH, it was too cold for Christie. 54F heading out but 85F when we got back.
