I wear all 3. Half, 3/4 and full. 3/4 mostly, and full when it's cool or long ride, or I know I'm gonna get hammered with rain. Half helmet during summer on shorter rides.

Half when I'm by myself and three quarter when I'm with the wife since it has a headset installed. I had a full face but my daughter took it when she started riding.

FF mostly, or 3/4 occasionally for back roads..

For a FF spend the money and get a Shoei, Arai or Schuberth. Comfort, fit, quality, visibility, and airflow are worth the cost.

If it’s hot enough out, it’s cooler in the FF.

I wear the smallest DOT half helmet I can find (which right now is an Akoury AK-88) when I am forced to by law (which, since I live in nanny state Canada, is most of the time, and is the only reason I wear one at all). Otherwise, I ride lid-free.

Cheers!

I wear a half helmet most of the time. Mainly because I don't like having my ears covered (I wear glasses and the pressure on my frames behind my ears makes them sore after a while). Even when the weather is not great; having a fairing makes this possible. I do wear a FF modular helmet (and I carry it with me when I tour) when it is just too cold or when it is pouring rain.

My first couple years I didn’t wear one, then I wore a half for a few years, and I just recently got a Shoei full face. I did it for safety and comfort in rain or cold. I actually found that I like the full face, so wear it all the time. It is comfortable and I can see just fine. I ride a Street Glide and can still hear the music.

Default Helmet

Full face only here. No flip up either. I wear a Arai,Snell institute approved. Don't want to start any debates about vision being obstructed,or hearing things coming up on you. When you hear a friend tell you they airlifted a friend's wife off the road with her face needing reconstructive surgery when a car cut them off and she was ejected, landing face first, and your brother goes off at 110mph and the doctors tell you," if he didn't have that full face helmet on his head he be dead." That made up my mind. There use to be a Bell helmet poster which hung in a local bike dealers shop when I was a kid,it read" Got a $10 dollar head, wear a $10 dollar helmet."

I don't wear a helmet 90% of the time....

I have several tho. When I'm going on a long road trip where I'm passing thru helmet States, or in Wintertime if I'm likely to run into inclement weather, I take my Bell Bullitt...

Same here. I have several helmets (FF, 3/4, 1/2, Modular) and until recently I hated all of them. I mostly rode helmetless and only wore my HD (Scorpion) 1/2 helmet in helmet law states. All my helmets were cheap junk. Then I broke down and bought a Shoei RF-SR and now I rarely ever ride without it. I will ride in a ball cap once in a great while just putt putting around the village but it’s starting to feel weird. I used to hate FF helmets before I got the Shoei. They made me feel like I was going to suffocate. Today, myself and another forum member rode 200+ miles and it was hot and very humid. My hair didn’t even get sweaty inside the Shoei and we spent a good bit of time in stop and go traffic. Not trying to sell you on Shoei. There are other quality brands too. Just don’t cheap out. Nothing’s more uncomfortable than a cheap FF helmet.

I've only ever worn a full face helmet. Mostly it's for safety. I've never felt clostrophobic or that my vision was degraded Like some of the other replies have indicated, I too have a Bluetooth (Sena) set up which also let's me connect wirelessly to the bike for everything that gives me like my phone music if I'm not using the speakers the CB etc.
