When you know that the company will do anything it can to bend you over and hammer it home why do people stand for it? Please, somebody explain that.

You got a good deal because they knew the person after you would buy a bike with a note at 25%.

They only stand for it if you are 43 years old making $11 an hour and want a bike real bad.

Yup, MSRP on my 17 RK when I bought but got about $2200 in extras thrown in for that also.

OP, it's the first month of a new model year release, they are always asking the sky the first month to hook the gotta have it now crew and there's plenty.

I wouldn't expect a huge savings on 18's this year just because there weren't nearly as many built and left over. My local dealers only have a handful left on the floors.

This is why I love buying used 5 or 6 year old bikes . You can easily fine a bike with 4 to 10,000 miles on it for almost 1/2 the price of new .

For example when I was shopping for a Road King I went up there and they had one that was set up as Stage 3. No price anywhere to be found, just a sheet on what upgrades were done and how much those were. So I found a guy and he had to go ask and came back and said that the price on the base bike was in the mid $20s and that bike had $10k worth of upgrades so they were looking to get mid $30s for it. And then he said that he could work with me to get that in the low $30s. I said thanks and walked out, went to a dealer and bought the stock bike for MSRP minus some negotiation room I got and a free backrest. That dealer must sell a ton of bikes and 1 guy was just heading out on his new purchase when I was leaving but I don't understand how people can be so gullible. My wife asked me why I didn't negotiate with him and I told her that for all the effort it would take to negotiate the best I could hope for was to get back to MSRP and then I would have to negotiate the parts and labor down to MSRP as well since those were overpriced. Needless to say I go up there to eat their free food and drink their cheap beer but I refuse to give them my money at those inflated rates.
Must have been Avalanche HD..LMFAO !!! Jokers...I just eat look and leave..

Add tax, DMV fees and documentation and you are pushing $25,000! WTH! It's no wonder they have so much stock on hand. The place was a ghost town. Anyone else finding their dealers inflating the price of their remaining 2018 bikes?

which dealer is this? Lane splitter or House of thunder. That way I can avoid that dealership

So they want to charge you full price on the upgrades and accessories, but if you are trading in you get book price on the bare bike because, according to the dealers, the upgrades and accessories don't really count in the bike value.
MSRP is what the company says the dealer should sell you the bike for, dealer markup is already in the MSRP.

I'm betting Lane Splitter. I stopped in there Tuesday when I was in the Bay Area to get a part & the salesmen were standing around with their hands in their pockets. Lots of bikes on the floor, too.
