New rider....dumb move...turning left, pulled up too far....car on hubby's tail w/ 16yo riding with him...turned too wide. Bike's in shop. Getting ancy waiting to get back on. Want my bike back and back on it! Got bruises and scrapes, helmet done. Bent rod going into trans and bent handlebars along w/ some scrapes to clutch handle, fender, gas tank. But, I'm ok and ready to ride again. Hurry up Harley!!

Consider yourself lucky. I know a lady who made a slow moving left turn faux pas like yours and it cost her some badly broken bones and months and months of physical therapy. Sounds like maybe you skipped the rider course and moved right on to crashes 101. Take the course. And as always, ride safe.
Well you got that out of the way! LOL -And it sounds like you didn’t get too hurt in the process so chalk it up to a learning experience. If you haven’t done so, a MSF Basic class would be a good place to start learning the basics and gaining confidence.
Give us a little more info if you can, so we can understand what happened. Too much front brake?, too radical an evasive move? What actually happened? It helps all of us to learn what else you might have done to keep it upright and out of harms way. Thanks
