I have travelled the western states predominantly on the backroads each time I have travelled, on local rides I have and will continue to take the scenic routes, makes life much more enjoyable. I agree with a previous poster, if I need to get there in a hurry, I'll fly. I also agree with a previous poster, I got over doing stupid **** a long time ago, no need to scare myself when in my lifetime others have done it way to many times for me. That being said, I am not adventure adverse and enjoy a good adventure with a bit of forethought.
IDC how fast or slow you go-
But there is a large crowd of HD rides that get out there, especially in a group
and will clog the roads doing 45 MG like they are the only people on the planet.
I wish they would move to hell over and let traffic by, as passing 3, 4, 10 or 60 of them at once is hard in a car.
On the bike, I usually have no trouble threading the needle.

I agree ... No need to keep the world from spinning .... If you're clogging up the path get out of the way ... It's not all about you/me :>)
Going across Iowa on two lanes, I prefer 70 in a 55. No traffic, and miles and miles of nuthin'.
Leave the 4 lanes for the wienies that are bad at pulling their bikes on trailers.
Lately I have found I enjoy the 55 mph highways over the 70 mph interstates. Never used to be that way. Still don’t mind 70+ but lately enjoying the more relaxed feeling and better views from the 55 mph limit roads. Anybody else feel this way?
Hell YES.
(It depends) - if you have to be somewhere then 70 is good to get there quickly.
But I spend my time riding or driving JUST for the ride/drive = nope, wanna go slow (not crawl!), see the sights, enjoy the bends and the wildlife...
