2006 road king
i have a chance to buy a 2006 road king classic thats very clean and well maintained with all service records for $5000 OBO.the only issue is it has 80000 highway miles on it.cam chain tensioner was done at 60k and belts were just replaced.this will be my first harley so i wanted to start on something used.going to look at it saturday and was wondering anything out of the normal I should watch out for.thanks

Too many miles and for a few sheckles more... The bike is only the entry price here.. Bikes go way more than 60k miles but I guarantee theres more than a few grand of work to perform

If you know someone who knows Harleys take them with you to help check it out. There are no guarantees that it needs thousands of dollars worth of repairs just because of the mileage just as there are no guarantees it will not. Find out who did the repairs and talk with them about the bike. I'm riding the 06 RK I bought new and have maintained it well and made minor improvements to it. I would not sell it for $5000.
