I have the Genunie HD get-a-grip set as shown in the slideshow. I had a set of heated Aileron grips when I bought the bike, but the throttle side delaminated and came apart. Went with Genuine HD due to the fast mounting system they use that doesnt require any grip glue and changes out in just a few minutes. I tried finding a decent set of aftermarket grips, but all I could find locally was motorcross style grips that universally look like ****. I wanted something simple, and above all not solid metal. Living in AZ in the summer you need something that doesnt get up to surface of the sun temps, or you WILL burn the hell out of your hands. I also have a set of lever covers for just this reason.
I have stock 2004-2006 Sportster grips on my cable operated Super Glide and stock grips off of a 2016 Ultra Limited Low on my TBW Road King. Both have a reduced diameter and allow for better clutch and brake control (for me). In winter when gloves get thicker they're easier to manage as well. They're cheap and easy to find as replacements.
A discussion about grips has me thinking Pachmayr.
Prior to HD, I checked Cycle Gear. Pure crap they had. If Pachmayr made Harley grips, I'd have bought them. Best Smith and Wesson grips out there bar none
