Rode in 28 degrees. Once. Snow started flying when I was a couple miles from home, stopping at a light, looking down and seeing your right foot on a patch of ice is a little unnerving. I'll do high 30's if really itching to ride but it'll be a short one. 40's ok. 50's we're golden. Preferred temp 75-85.

Like many others have said once the snow removal chit hits the streets that's it. We don't get much here in Southeast VA but we do. Generally Jan and Feb. Once that happens the bike sleeps until a few good rains wash it off the roads.

I've been caught out in light snow once or twice - foolishly decided to plough ahead. No harm no foul, but close, very close! Odd how being on a snow mobile in -20F at 30 mph doesn't feel as cold a ride as a bike, 60 mph @ 35F.

It gets a little iffy for me when it gets down to 50. It kind of depends if there will at least be some sun out, and how bad the wind is.

In summer, 85 is about my limit, depending on the humidity. My ‘18 Deluxe has a stock oil cooler on it, so I’m a little bit cavalier with it when the outside temps get hotter. My ‘17 Slim? If I think I’ll be in traffic, I won’t ride it when it gets in to the 80’s.

I have ridden at 20 below. Road condition govern. Rides in 30 degree weather are common. The October rain and morning temps of low 30's to 40 have been almost daily with it warming up to around 50's .

It is what you live. When I lived in FL we were lazy. If it was not a nearly prefect day we did nothing. It might rain, 50-60 to cold to hot ect. Live in The middle east awhile what is hot has a new meaning, When you live in Wisconsin cold has a new meaning. A 40 degree day that is dry dressed right is a great ride.
When I came here I though wife uncles out spiting wood on a 30 degree day in T shirts were nuts. Few years latter right here in a t shirt helping them.
Riding winter road One friend your bike has is S100 corrosion Protectant one product they make that works.

Never. Folks here never learned the system, and don't get it. Tell someone in Missouri it's gonna be 10°C tomorrow, and they don't know if that's cold, hot, or what. It would take a generation, at least, to make the switch, starting with kids in kindergarten. We'll all be speaking Spanish before that happens. Besides...we ride Harleys, why go metric?

As long as its dry ill ride in town at anything above freezing. Highway it has to be 8+ (46.4 degrees in wackadoodle american)

No windshield and no full face cause im way more hardcore than you.
I'm Canadian and the decision to go metric was without a doubt one of the dumbest political moves this country has ever made! The Untied States is our largest trading partner, further, the United States is the largest economy in the World. A good question would be WHY the decision to go 'metric' was taken - asinine! Grocery, hardware, et al advertise in lbs and ounces, feet and inches. Our public schools instruct in both? As a country we're NOT metric, laughable to think we are! I'm not defending the Americans, I'm just pointing out how badly our politicians can fk things up!

I'm spoiled, my commute to work is about 15 miles round trip on local roads. Only about a mile stretch where I get to 65 MPH. Since the wind chill isn't that big a deal at that point, usually don't care about the temps. Colder days I add a sweater under my vest and jacket, throw on the gauntlet gloves over the sleeve edges to keep the wind out of the jacket. And a nice pair of wool socks. I'll go until the road salt goes down, once that happens the bike goes away. I've already had 2, going on 3rd, vehicles rust out from underneath me thanks to all the salt we use around here in the winter, rather not have that problem with my bike lol

Said and done though, if I had to put down a temp? 68-70 degrees. Can wear the gear and not overheat, get a little bite in the wind at highway speed but nothing unbearable.
