I have a blk pearl Night Train. My friend and I were spray painting my new sissy bar to match the bike.We spray painted out side the garage while the bike was inside the garage. The garage door was open at the time the wind was blowing away from us and the garage. So today I get up to clean my bike vey dusty and noticed the top parts of all the painted tins feel slightly ruff to the touch. When I would feel under the tank and on the sides of my tins etc the paint feels smooth.Visually the paint looks clear and shiny but to the touch it seems like slightly grity.Did some of the spray paint get blowed in garage and onto the painted surfaces of my bikeand if so is there a soultion toremovingwhatever it is on my paint should I wax pleas help thx.Again the effected areas look the same it is even on the chrome parts but they all look shiny as does the paint it just has a grity fell on them that wont come of with water and a rag???
you can use one of the clay bars. like the ones mothers sells it will take the over spray right off. then wax every thing. i have used it on cars and my tool box that have hadover spray on them. would not try it on flat paints for the record. and the thinner might wreck the paint, not worth the chance of rubbing to long and taking all the paint off.

Any one of the above responses will take care of your overspray problem.
Keep one thing in mind... if you go the laquer method, becareful if you have any pinstripes. Pinstripes/decals on the tank are clearcoated. Any other panels, they won't be. (assuming factory paint)
use the clay bar, it will take it right off. Wash the bike with Dawn dish detergent (strips the wax off) and then use the clay bar with the spray that comes with it. Then give it a wax job and it will be good as new. Be careful with Mother's clay bar, I scratched the paint on a black SUV with it, but I doubt that the clay was the problem, I probably didn't have the one spot clean. I use Clay Magic and it does an excellent job.
