I must confess, I owned a BMW R1100RT before my present Dyna..flog away.
Had BMW K1200GT before I bought my Harley. I haven't back to the BMW board since I changed bikes. I guess I could see if I am banned on the other Board now.
I have owned many brands for a number of years. I was on Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki forums until I finally went all Harley.
A good number of the VTX 1800 forum gravitated to H-D over the years. The best forum was Kawasaki. The rules were no bashing of any other brand or you faced being banished.
What did you expect, be no different than some one coming on this site and saying how great brand XYZ is. I own couple of different brands of bikes and belong to dedicated message boards for each bike. I do not talk on the crotch rocket site I am on about how much I love my Harley then try and defend that statement....whats the point of doing that.
I own another brand of mc other than my Harleys. I went to this other forum (which I am a member of) praising that brand of model. In passing I mentioned I was a life time member orange and black. The attack you won't believe. Just between you and us. I am going to play this out. Maybe not. They seem to have run out of ammo..
Sounds like an old Suzuki Volusia site I was once a member of.
I'm also a member of the Triumph forum, since I own a '14 T100 Bonneville. Most of those guys bash Harley too. There are a few other HD owners.
One thing I like to mention on the "Harley Hate" threads that frequently pop up....
Both bikes have a certain attraction. I get old guys coming up to me when I'm on the Bonne wanting to talk about the Bonne they had back in '72. But the women ALL want a ride on the Harley.
