Default Aim Light Force Clutch

Been reading the forums for awhile now decided to join today to give you my report on the Aim clutch cylinder. Didn't want to take bike to dealer for recall so decided to replace slave cylinder myself. A little pricey but I didn't care for the clutch on my 2017 street glide it didn't engage until almost all the way out. Took about two hours from start to finish. Bike is almost two years old and the brake fluid in the clutch was a dark color, so a heads up if you have two years are more you might want to check it. I don't know who said a 40% decrease in the clutch pull but to me it feels more like 60 to 70 %. The clutch now starts to engage about an inch off the grip. Drove around the subdivision and it made a huge difference on making turns with the friction zone so close to the grip. I will get some miles on it and give a report on what I think about it then but for now all seems good.

Great to hear! I was also looking into their clutch reducing solutions. Unfortunately, they do not make one for the hydraulic clutch on my 2016 Softail Slim S. I look at their centrifugal variable clutch, but decided to go with the Rekluse TorqDrive and lower force springs. Worked out well for me in my case.

Does anyone else have any input on the Aim Light Force Clutch Cylinder on an M8?. Due to a hand injury, I need to lighten the clutch pull. I’m also considering Rekluse clutch...but not sure that’s the way I want to go.

I’m curious, on an M8:
- how much did it reduce to clutch pull?
- over all performance?
- how’s the reliability?

My friend has the Aim on his M8 glide. I've tried it and works well and he hasn't had a problem with it.

Thanks for the feedback. Have you or he recognized it has a significantly lighter pull?

Yes the pull is much lighter, very noticeable. Aim says "Easier to pull: 40% lighter clutch pull."
He had it installed at a H-D dealership and the cost was $500 which included the Aim and labor.

I have the AIM on my '18 FLHTCU.
Next to the Forward controls I put on the bike, this
is the BEST mod that I have done.

I would guess 60% or better less resistance, it is soooooooo light
and easy now in the pull area.
My old broken, rebuilt arm/wrist thanks me every time I pull in the clutch.

I have a Muller coming Friday for my '16 Street Glide.
Just wanted to try it since several have touted its attributes.............

I have the AIM’s installed on both of my XL’s. Both 120 plus rwhp. One is a street bike, the other a street legal drag bike that launches at 7000 rpm. The clutch pull is significantly lighter in both bikes compared to a factory 883 clutch or any factory clutch. Mine are set up to hold that 120hp, so if you had something in 70-90hp range the pull would even be lighter.

That’s great to hear. Please let us know how they compare. I would be very curious.
